It is also the day when the nation remembers BR Ambedkar, the architect of the Indian constitution.
Constitution day or Samvidahan Diwas is celebrated on November 26 every year to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India.
The Constituent Assembly of India adopted the Constitution of India on 26 November 1949 and it was legally enforced on January 26, 1950. Almost 65 years later, the government of India declared 26 November as Constitution Day on 19 November 2015 by a gazette notification.
Before its completion on 26th November 1949, the Constitution underwent more than 2,000 amendments and came into being after meetings that were held for 2 years, 11 months, and 18 days. Artists from Shantiniketan decorated every page of the Indian Constitution and the original copies were written in Hindi and English.
It is also the day when the nation remembers BR Ambedkar, the architect of the Indian constitution.

Quotes by BR Ambedkar
Law and order are the medicine of the body politic and when the body politic gets sick, medicine must be administered.
Democracy is not merely a form of government. It is primarily a mode of associated living, of conjoint communicated experience. It is essentially an attitude of respect and reverence towards fellow men.
"However good a constitution may be, if those who are implementing it are not good, it will prove to be bad. However bad a constitution may be, if those implementing it are good, it will prove to be good"
"So long as you do not achieve social liberty, whatever freedom is provided by the law is of no avail to you"
