CBSE will conduct an alternative examination for the students who are unhappy with the result released on the basis of the marking scheme decided by the board. In this regard, the board informed the Supreme Court that it will organize it between August 15 and September 15 when the situation becomes normal. For this, the board will also provide the facility of online registration to the students.
Steps for Registration
1. Students can register online through the official website of the board, cbse.nic.in.
2. The registration window will open after the declaration of the 12th result.
3. This exam will be conducted for main subjects only.
4. The exam will be conducted offline in a centre-based mode.
5. Only the marks obtained in the optional examination will be considered as the final marks of the students.
6. Compartment exams will also be held any time between 15th August to 15th September.
Students will be able to get detailed information related to the optional examination through the official website after the release of the 12th result.

अंग्रेजों के खिलाफ पत्रकारिता
तिलक शुरू से ही एक ओजस्वी वक्ता रहे. पहले गणित के शिक्षक के रूप में उन्होंने अपने संस्कृति को सम्मान देने पर बहुत जोर दिया और अंग्रेजी शिक्षा के शुरू से आलोचक रहे. उन्होंने देश में शिक्षा के स्तर में सुधार के लिए दक्कन शिक्षा समिति की स्थापना की. तिलक ने अंग्रेजी शासन के खिलाफ अपने दैनिक समाचारों मराठा दर्पण और केसरी में लिखना शुरू किया. इसी दौरान उन्होंने पूर्ण स्वराज की मांग की.
गणोत्सव और समाज सेवा
उन्होंने ने बंबई में अकाल और पुणे में प्लेग की बीमारी के दौरान देश में कई सामाजिक कार्य किए. 1893 में उन्होंने महाराष्ट्र में सार्वजनिक तौर पर गणेशोत्सव मनाने की शुरुआत की. इसमें गणेश चतुर्थी के दिन लोग नई गणेश मूर्ति घर में 10 दिन तक रखकर उत्सव मनाते थे. तिकल के दिमाग में विचार आया कि क्यों न गणेशोत्सव को घरों से निकाल कर सार्वजनिक स्थल पर मनाया जाए, ताकि इसमें हर जाति के लोग शिरकत कर सकें. तिलक के इस प्रयास में पेश्वाओं की भी सहयोग मिला.
क्रांतिकारियों की पैरवी
1907 में कांग्रेस गरम दल और नरम दल में विभाजित हो गई. तिलक गरम दल के प्रमुख नेता बने जिनके साथ लाला लाजपत राय और बिपिन चन्द्र पाल आ गए थे. इन तीनों को लाल-बाल-पाल के नाम से शोहरत मिली. 1908 में तिलक ने क्रांतिकारी प्रफुल्ल चाकी और खुदीराम बोस के बम हमले का समर्थन किया जिसकी वजह से उन्हें बर्मा (अब म्यांमार) में जेल भेज दिया गया. जेल से छूटकर वे फिर कांग्रेस में शामिल हो गए.
बर्मा का मांडला जेल
मांडले जेल में तिलक को किताबें पढ़ने की इजाजत नहीं दी गई. इस दौरान वे किसी को पत्र भी नहीं लिख सकते थे. मांडला जेल के दौरान ही उनकी पत्नी की देहांत हुआ तो उन्हें लिखे गए एक खत के जरिए यह जानकारी मिली. उन्हें अपनी पत्नी के अंतिम दर्शन भी देने नहीं दिए गए. जेल में लिखी उनकी किताब गीता रहस्य बहुत लोकप्रिय हुई औरउसके बहुत सी भाषाओं में अनुवाद हुए
आल इंडिया होम रूल लीग की स्थापना
बाल गंगाधर तिलक ने एनी बेसेंट और मोहम्मद अली जिन्ना की मदद से 1916 में होम रूल लीग की स्थापना की. इस आंदोलन का स्वरूप सत्याग्रह आन्दोलन से अलग था. इसमें चार से पांच लोगों कासमूह बनाया जाता था, जिसका उद्देशय पूरे भारत की जनता के बीच जाकर लोगों को होम रूल लीग का मतलब समझाना होता था. आयरलैंड से भारत आई हुई एनी बेसेंट नेवहां पर होमरूल लीग जैसा प्रयोग देखा था और उसी तरह का प्रयोग उन्होंने भारत में करने का विचार किया था.
1920 में निधन
अपने राष्ट्रवादी आंदोलनों की वजह से बाल गंगाधर तिलक को भारतीय राष्ट्रवाद के पिता के रूप में जाना जाता है. 1 अगस्त 1920 को उनकी बम्बई में मृत्यु हो गयी. गान्धी जी ने उन्हें आधुनिक भारत का निर्माता और जवाहरलाल नेहरू ने भारतीय क्रान्ति का जनक बताया था.
